Jonathan D. Golden
Jonathan D. Golden is the founder of Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee Company, a socially-minded sustainable business allowing him to integrate his faith and work. The inkling for a coffee company came in 2004 after a 15 year career in industrial psychology where he empowered business leaders to live their Lifeswork and produce more effective companies. As an ordained Anglican priest, Jonathan believes God calls us to be relevant in our professional and personal lives.
Land of a Thousand Hills was created to be a business that engages redemption through excellent coffee and builds a global community by connecting the average consumer with a tangible avenue for everyday justice.
Jonathan is pursuing his Doctorate of Ministry at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a continued focus on integrating faith and work in a business model.

Karen Houghton, Bright Ideas Coordinator
After Karen earned a Bachelor's degree from Berry College she moved to the Northeast and then eventually to Australia before returning to Atlanta to earn her Master's degree in counseling. She began working with Thousand Hills Coffee in 2006 as the marketing strategist. She now serves as our café consultant & marketing director. Karen enjoys working with coffee houses to share her love for specialty coffee and the value of community. After traveling to Rwanda to spend time with our coffee farmers, Karen is even more passionate about sharing the stories of the people and our work there. She is also actively involved in Young Life and is the youth pastor at St. Peter's Place.

Relationship Team
Robert Crow, Relationship Director
Robert holds a dual honors degree from the University of Plymouth, UK, in European Studies and Modern Languages. Formerly the Southern Regional Sales Director for NETC Student Travel, Robert was first introduced to Land of a Thousand Hills when smoke from the newly purchased roaster filled his sales office. He soon switched companies and became the first addition to the Land of a Thousand Hills team as Relationship Director. After his first trip to Rwanda and witnessing relationships redeemed over coffee, Robert's journey of faith began. Robert is always excited to share his testimony and his heart for the role coffee plays in the continuing reconciliation of Rwandan people.

Erin Leigh Patterson, Relationship Coordinator
Erin Leigh Patterson first heard about Thousand Hills Coffee at Catalyst Conference 2007 when she was a senior at Georgia State University. She became an instant advocate after trying the coffee and learning the story, and served as the office intern during her last semester of college. When she graduated with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Journalism, Erin Leigh came on board as a Relationship Coordinator. She loves connecting people to Rwanda through the chance to Drink Coffee. and Do Good. She also loves to knit, read, write and Tweet.

Matthew Ludwikowski, Relationship Coordinator
Matthew Ludwikowski has been working in the specialty coffee industry for over 5 years. Currently working as a Relationship Coordinator for Land of a Thousand Hills he seeks to build community both in Rwanda and here in the states through enabling justice for the coffee farmer. His passion for coffee and to "Do Good" through it stems directly from his convictions and desire to serve others. Matt is also a professional musician, producer, and songwriter and has spent over a decade traveling and creating music with other artists. He looks forward to sharing the story of Rwanda with you!

Lindsay Sanders, Relationship Coordinator
Lindsay interned with Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee during her senior year at Georgia State University. Once she graduated with a degree in Sociology and a minor in English, she joined the team as the West Coast Relationship Coordinator. Lindsay is passionate about social justice and reconciliation. She loves that she can change the lives of coffee farmers through something as simple as coffee. Lindsay recently moved to Pasadena, California to share the Drink Coffee. Do Good story on the West Coast.

Operations
Mindy Gunter, Operations Coordinator
Mindy was introduced to Land of A Thousand Hills Coffee while cycling across the country on the Ride:Well Tour promoting clean water in Africa. Mindy loves adventure and values social justice, education and building community. Overseeing order processing, internal operations, and supporting the relationship team are some of her daily tasks at Land of A Thousand Hills. She Graduated from Kennesaw State University with a BS in Early Childhood Education. She enjoyed teaching third grade before becoming part of the Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee Team. Mindy's favorite coffee drink is a Razzle Dazzle Mocha.

Chelsea Gilliland, Executive Assistant/Special Projects/Intern Coordinator
Chelsea began her relationship with Land of a Thousand Hills as a barista and was quickly recruited to join the office team as Jonathan's executive assistant. She graduated in 2009 with a degree in Political Science from Samford University and loves brainstorming ways to do good through coffee! She first became passionate about Africa on a trip to Kenya a few years ago, and loves being able to work to build community in Rwanda and in her own neighborhood. Randy Harrell, Coffee Excellence Manager
Randy is our Coffee Excellence Manager at Land of a Thousand Hills, a role that includes quality control, equipment installation and maintenance, barista training, working special events and consulting with new coffee shops. He is currently pursuing a degree in English at Kennesaw State University and has more than four years of experience in the specialty coffee industry, both as a barista and a cafe manager. Randy is also a United States Barista Championship certified sensory judge. His favorite thing about coffee is learning about where it comes from, how it's origin affects the taste and the impact that fairly traded coffee can have on coffee-growing communities.

Jessica Pachman, Order Processing
As the youngest member of the Land of a Thousand Hills team, Jessica is in charge of processing orders and interacting with customers. She was recruited to work in our office by her friend and senior staff member Karen. Jessica recently graduated from Centennial High School in Roswell and plans on getting a degree in Non-Profit work in college. She loves our new Rwandan tea and hopes to go to Rwanda one day to meet our coffee farmers.

Finance
Rebekah Hale, Finance Manager/Bookkeeper
Beka is a recent graduate of Kennesaw State University, where she studied International Affairs. She joined the team as our Finance Manager and bookkeeper. Bekah first learned about Land of a Thousand Hills after drinking the coffee at her church and hearing our story. She loves to drink coffee, have conversations in French, make crafts, and serve the children at an orphanage in Nicaragua.

Roasting Team
Daniel Riggins, Head Roaster
Daniel is Land of a Thousand Hills' Head Roaster. He oversees all of production and ensures that each bag of coffee is roasted with quality and care, fresh to order. Daniel began his coffee career as a barista and has been a part of the specialty coffee industry for over 10 years. He maintains the integrity of our beans and especially enjoys the cupping sessions he shares with the rest of the team. Daniel also researches new single-origin coffees, as Land of a Thousand Hills seeks to find the best coffee that is available all over the world.

Aajay Murphy, Assistant Roaster
Aajay is the assistant roaster at Land of a Thousand Hills, working with Daniel to ensure that each bag of coffee is roasted with the utmost quality. He graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Sociology, concentrating on cultural diversity. Aajay began his career at Land of a Thousand Hills in our Roswell coffee house as a barista and quickly decided that he wanted to learn how to roast the quality coffee he served each day. Aajay is also passionate about creatively fostering the artistic community where he lives in Marietta, Georgia.

On Tour
Danny Nicoletto, On Tour Manager
Danny, our On Tour barista and Tour Manager, currently resides in Nashville. He found out about Land of a Thousand Hills through his uncle, our founder Jonathan Golden! Danny organizes our On Tour experience, traveling around the country and sharing with people how they can Drink Coffee, Do Good. You can find him backstage making espresso drinks for band members and fans or at our merch table sharing the Thousand Hills story. When he is not on tour, he runs our coffee shop at Soundcheck in Nashville.

Sarah Garner, Events and Conferences
Sarah grew up in Georgia and after some time spent living in India, she has returned to the south and resides in Downtown Atlanta. She studied Sign Language Interpreting and is passionate about justice for all people, despite their social or economic differences. Sarah lives her life intentionally, which makes her great at her job of connecting with coffee lovers at events and conferences in Atlanta and all over the country! Coffee House Management
Kelly Graham, Roswell Coffee Shop Manager
Kelly found out about Land of a Thousand Hills through her two sons, both baristas at our Roswell Shop. She and her husband were customers and were intrigued by the mission of Land of a Thousand Hills. Kelly is now the manager of our original coffee house in Roswell, voted as one of the top five coffee houses in Atlanta. Not many people can say they LOVE getting up and going to work each day - but Kelly does! She loves that we have the most amazing team, like a big family, and our customers are incredible. Kelly is passionate about her family, their dogs, reading, cooking and coffee! Her favorite drink is the perfect shot of espresso!
